update.. and tons of bum talk.

everyday my internet regiemn goes like this.
1.) facebook
2.) checking blogs (i'd say theres about 7 i check every day)
3.) check my emails
4.) facebook again
5.) check asofterworld.com
and if its sunday..
6.) check postsecret.com

i know. thats kinda lame. but still. thats what i do. i actually really enjoy reading other peoples blogs. especially people who i dont see on a regular basis. which is like. every blog i read. so yeah. hint. update your blogs at least once a week and i'll be happy. i honestly check them everyday.

so. anyways. i just thought i'd update a little blurb about what i do everyday on the internet.

(which i must admit was boring. i'll share a work detail.)

So I actually love my job.
I work as a Special Care Aide.
I take care of the elderly.
Which includes, dressing them, feeding them, combing hair, brushing teeth, holding hands, hugs, walking them, reading to them, bathing them, basically just loving them and assisting them with there activities of daily living.
we of course support as much independence as possible.
We want them to be able to do as much as they can for themselves.
Some of them are cognitive. (they have their minds) and others suffer from dementia or alzhiemers. Most though, need help when it comes to one particular thing. Moving their bowels. These days happen every four days. "Bowel Care Days" We have a "bowel book" which happens to be brown. And we keep track of the residents bowel movements. (when I was a student taking my course... our teacher made us track our bowels.. ANYWAYS)
When four days rolls around without a bowel movement... we give them something to help them move their bowels. An enema, or a suppository, or a fleet.(depending on how "bunged up" the person is, decides on which one you would use)
Today on my floor we had what some call.. "A bowel care list from... (pardon me).. hell" Sometimes Ive had up to 8 names. 8 people on my floor. Do you know what that means?! My finger will venture into 8 bums to investigate and make sure there is indeed a "poop" aka.. BM aka bowel movement in there. And then I give a supp. or an enema, or a fleet in hopes of large results..
Today we had 5 on the list.
Out of the 5.
4 had successful results. Anyways. those who think there jobs are so bad. At least you dont have to poke your finger into bum-o-leys. :)
