tonight at work was one of those nights i call a "light bulb" moment night. (not that they happen at night all the time. but this time it happened to be a night) anyways. i got to work and i was orientating a shift on a ward i had never worked on. the woman i worked with was so amazing. she was fun and halarious which i love. we laughed and had a good time. (we worked too;)) anyways. she showed me these pics of her kids. they are adorable!! it was fun. on our break i kinda started to pry by asking questions because i just knew this lady was gay but i didnt want to just, assume that right. im asking her questions and shes answering them, and she asked me questions which i answered also. and so she eventually tells me she is gay which i find just fasinating. then i start asking all these questions about her partner, how they had kids, and it was amazing. she told me about her one childs adoption, and how they had their first baby. it was great to talk about that stuff. she is an amazing woman. and she also is a christian. go figure. we talked about everything too. coming out. how people react. i dont know. i guess it was a "light bulb" moment because she is a successful woman. and knew what she wanted in life and went for it. she loves God. and she loves her partner. and God blessed her with two beautiful children who she loves dearly. right? i know that some people will and do disagree with that, but i mean, she is an amazing mother and an amazing woman and even though i only just met her, i do look up to her. we exhanged numbers and i do plan on staying in touch with her and meeting her family someday. "lightbulb" if she can be happy. so can i.
